Owner & Founder, The High Altitude Club
WHITNEY SHORTS
As the Owner and Founder of The High Altitude Club, I lead the vision, planning, and day-to-day operations of the program. With over a decade of experience in child care and early childhood education and more than 9 years of homeschooling experience, I am passionate about teaching and creating meaningful learning experiences for children.
At HAC, my role includes Teaching, program development, overseeing daily schedules, coordinating classes and enrichment opportunities, organizing field trips and special events, and supporting families throughout their homeschooling journey. I love being actively involved with the children and staff and bringing learning to life in a joyful, engaging, and nurturing environment.
Outside of HAC, I enjoy life’s simple pleasures—sunsets, flowers, baby animals, and family movie nights. I also genuinely enjoy volunteering and giving back to the community, which reflects the heart of service behind The High Altitude Club.
I am honored to serve families through The High Altitude Club and look forward to supporting each child’s growth, confidence, and love of learning.

Executive Assistant
SHEENA FRAZIER
With a diverse background in education, child care, and digital design, I am passionate about nurturing young minds and fostering creativity. My experience includes roles as a reading tutor, summer camp counselor, mentor, and arts and crafts instructor—each of which has equipped me with the skills to inspire, guide, and support children on their educational journeys.
I adore being a wife and mother to a wonderfully bright, homeschooled daughter who truly loves learning. Experiencing homeschooling firsthand has shown me the value of flexibility, personalized education, and meaningful community. Being part of High Altitude Club has been a natural and enriching extension of her learning and continues to shape my vision for supporting other families.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, volunteering, reading, gardening, crafting, and enjoying music and games with friends and loved ones. These interests fuel my creativity and help me connect with children in meaningful ways, encouraging them to explore, learn, and grow.

Coordinator of Student & Family Services
TIFFANY GONZALEZ
I have over 10 years of experience in early childhood education. I find joy in being part of children's growth, development, and enrichment. I am a wife and mother of two energetic young girls, who we plan on homeschooling when they begin school. I was homeschooled myself so I hold a special place in my heart for programs such as the HAC. I also enjoy music and reading—interests I love to share with my children and the children I get the privilege to work with.

LORRAINE MAGOLO
For nearly five years, I’ve worked in office settings, where my passion for organization shines through. Whether streamlining tasks or creating order out of chaos, I find joy in making things run smoothly. At heart, I value connection, creativity, and purpose, and I strive to bring positivity and structure wherever I go.
My family moved to Jacksonville when I was six months old, so I truly call Jacksonville home. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, who keep me grounded and inspired. Outside of work, I love journaling and stationery-based arts and crafts—creative outlets that allow me to express myself and stay connected to what matters most. I also enjoy volunteering my time in Bible education and local design and construction projects.
